Europe book 300 million doses of vaccine for Corona .. and the manufacturer pledges not to profit
Britain's AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company said on Saturday it had signed a contract with Italy, Germany, France and the Netherlands to provide Europe with an anti-Coronavirus vaccine, and that delivery would begin by the end of 2020.
Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands have signed a preliminary agreement to share at least 300 million doses of anti-Corona vaccine among themselves. This was stated by the German Ministry of Health yesterday in Berlin.
For its part, the company said that the contract was concluded with 400 million doses of the vaccine developed by Oxford University. She added that she was eager to expand in the vaccine industry, from which she pledged not to profit from the pandemic.
AstraZeneca had signed - according to its data - similar agreements with Britain and the United States.
The vaccine, developed at Oxford University against a Covid-19 infection called "EZD1222", was tested in an expanded scientific study, the company said.
"We hope to make the vaccine widely available and quickly," Pascal Sariot, the company’s CEO, said in a statement.
